6 years later, it's 2020! (long post... ^^)
Hi everyone! Man, it's been a long time since I've written on my LJ. Hope everyone is doing well! *waves* After checking when I started this blog, I was 21 and now am 37. Damn.... I'm old. LOL A lot has been happening while living in Las Vegas. It's been a long journey on rebuilding my life actually but always fun and different. Currently, with the pandemic, I cannot always enjoy many things like my solo traveling to random places/re-visiting some of my fave places or actually grocery shopping on my own time. Like many, I've been social distancing and wearing my mask when heading out. I recently walked the Las Vegas Strip last weekend and cannot believe the changes. It is not the same compared to when I moved in 2013. Guess I really grew out of it cause I used to just walk it for fun. Also, wearing a mask the whole time does make it extremely hot since we are experiencing heat from 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37.78 degrees Celsius) to 120 F (48.89 C). Yup.... super dry heat and everyone still partying like Covid doesn't exist. Oh well. Can't stop everyone. *shrugs*
Since we have been all in the pandemic, I've gotten back into fangirling. I'll never grow old for that. Catching up to Arashi shows and songs has been a task I will tell you since I've been traveling and went to university to finish my Bachelor's (which I did... whoo hoo!). I'm in current debate to pursue my Master's Degree even at a late age. I digress. Anyways, of course when I catch up to Arashi stuffies, I start watching many dramas or movies I missed during the years. OMG. I didn't know there was a new season of Hanadan with new characters, etc. until it showed up on a search. Of course, I had to watch it and read the manga. I went into Hana Hare Nochi - Hanadan New Season without expectations cause it didn't have the usual characters. I was SUPER IMPRESSED on the continuation and was hooked. Like Hana Yori Dango, I fell in love with 2 main characters, Kaguragi Haruto & . Come on. You basically have Tsukasa and Rui in those two characters. Then it spiraled to me loving Hirano Sho - searched him and was like WHOA - and finding out he's in a group called King & Prince (Kinpuri for short). Now I'm into Kinpuri and am feeling like a freaking old lady. Yup. Here's me watching the new generation of Johnny's being gorgeous & sexy. Many people will hate me when I say this but Kinpuri does remind me a lot of BTS in the KPop world. Maybe Kinpuri will be the JPop group to expand into international sales hopefully in the future since many of their songs have a lot of English. After reading sources on the net, there are rumors of Sexy Zone being the group to take over. Who knows! I'm hoping JPop will be as successful here in the US like KPop has been.
I will not stop loving Arashi. They're slowly hitting the international market, adding more English to their songs but will be leaving soon. I love the collaborations so far but have mixed opinions on some of their Reborn songs. One particular example is Face Down. I love the original version of Face Down but disappointed with the Reborn one. Their Instagram and TikTok accounts are hilarious. I wished they went on those social medias LONG AGO cause it may have had more exposure on them as a group. When then go on hiatus at the end of the year, I will be sad, but it's okay. They got lives like a lot of us do but makes me curious what's it gonna be like without VS Arashi or Arashi ni Shiyagare or who will possibly take over their leader position. Again, who knows what's going to happen. I wish all the Johnny groups best of luck in their journeys. :)
I better get going. Even if I'm social distancing, I have a lot going on in my personal life. I wanted to say hi again after 6 years from my original first post and well, I'm still the same old me but gained many more life experiences. Some posts will be friends-only as stated in the welcome greeting on more reflections or personal life stuff. I'm continuing to edit my LJ as days go by.
