Ice...
I've been waiting for Minako and Kunzite in this verse and now you have delivered and I feel so... sad. Minako breaks my heart. Minako biting her nails breaks my heart. Minako wanting to pull her henshin pen from her purse whenever she sees her former husband breaks my heart. Usagi breaks my heart. Even Mamoru breaks my heart.

(The conversation between Nephrite and Makoto was terrific, by the way. I don't think I have ever read a sen/shi couple really discuss the end of the SilMil with such different points of view. Normally it's more of "you are guilty and our love killed us all" and then a meek confirmation thereof. But Nephrite was really trying to make Makoto see that their love was not the end of it, that the SilMil had long since been destined to fall. Which in itself is super interesting, I love this, and I hope you explore it a bit more.)

That is just the reaction I was hoping for! *beams* Although of course I don't want you to feel sad. (Temporary sad is all right. Sadness that unleashes Lytton-angst on the world is to be feared.) Minako and Kunzite have kind of been cheated of scenes since Two Truths and a Lie, but they're so difficult to get into a room together, let alone an entire interaction just between the two of them. They deserve more screen-time.

*phew* I am relieved the Nephrite/Makoto opposing viewpoints came off well! I was a bit worried that Nephrite wouldn't have enough firepower to hold up his end, but I think they're both so earnest that he can pull it off. I was also a bit tired of the Shitennou-are-endlessly-guilty-and-self-flagellating narrative.

Many thanks as always, Lytton!

Nephrite can certainly hold his own, and upon re-reading, I like their conversation even more. He is so adamant in defending their love and I think he's onto something there. How could the love of five couples have destroyed the whole universe? That's pish-posh; there was something wrong to begin with and the rage the relationships incited is just a symptom, not the disease.
