eeeeeee ICE!!!!!! i couldn't help but start smiling the second i read your little intro to this piece, and that smile is still plastered all over my face. i'll have to leave a more detailed review of this a bit later, as the sun is coming up where i am - but i LOVE this, and soon you're going to hear all the reasons why :P

okay, now, nearly a MONTH later, i shall proceed to give this excellence the review it really deserves ;)

first off, i hope i've already told you this, but in case i haven't: your writing style is totally addictive. always laden with beautiful description, and language that captures exactly what the scene looks like and what the characters are feeling - with these great little pockets of unexpected humor, too. like but Zacarías, who believed that everything he did was of universal interest, even to strangers, was completely unfazed. and Zacarías had been rendered wordless by her unflattering judgment of his current passion. actually, i think just about everything describing zacarias within the first five paragraphs of this story is absolutely priceless >D ( ... )

apsara, thank you so much, and apologies for my delay in responding!!

you always give the nicest, most heart-warming comments :) like this one: your writing style is totally addictive i think that's one of the best things a writer could hear.

i'm so glad to hear the humor comes across! i'm terrible at writing a straight-up comedic fic and my sense of humor is rather understated, so i'm glad it still gets across. :) Zacarías, he's such a scene-stealer! but joaquin is so charming in his own way. :D i think Zacarías would be too worked up to joke after the fire.

thank you for your wonderful feedback about the characterizations and the pacing! i also feel like even in their youth, joaquin and rosalia are a bit calmer (if that's the right word) than jadeite and rei are usually written. their characters have a wholeness here in this 'verse, less of an edge/angst because they don't have the silmil past and senshi/shitennou responsibilities haunting them.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! If knowing people wanted to know more about them is what it took to make you write-- then I'm kicking myself for not having said anything! I've been wanting to know more about them in this verse for ever! You just made my day. @.@

I've always loved this 'verse-- you don't see a lot of people (or anyone) writing in Medieval Spain~ And, also, R/J. Can't go wrong.

It's a tiny thing, but I lovelovelove that after they escape from the fire, it's Dimas that is hugging her first, until he turns to their cousin. I love the change to dynamics when Rei and Mamoru characters are related, but so often you see it sidelined beside the romance. It's nice to see that, while they may have other loves in their lives, a brother/sister pair prioritizing their relationship!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear this made your day and that you love this verse! I must confess that the influence from medieval Spain is pretty light, but I tried :). R/J is still a pretty new ship for me to be writing so I'm relieved to know it's working out all right. Props to you for noticing that Dimas hugs Rosalía first! I was going to go straight into the Joaquin/Rosalía hug before I realized that would have been totally unrealistic for Dimas not to have his turn first.

When I start new projects it's usually what I want to write, but reader feedback does tend to play a significant role in terms of continuations. I wouldn't want to bore people, after all! I don't think the Two Truths and a Lie: Communication series would have been written without terrific feedback from Satine and Advent Drabblender. Other people's enthusiasm tends to raise my own enthusiasm level, and then things get written, so if there's something you want to read more of, definitely let me know ;)
