This verse is so rich, so rewarding. You have set the scene so beautifully that reading the descriptions is like watching a movie, the kind where you want to admire the cinematography for hours on end. I love it. Arya is a delight; she is smart without being pushy, gentle without being subservient, and beautiful without being flashy. The set-up of her living arrangements with Leela is lovely, I could almost smell the fresh bread and the clear air.

I think this is one of the first times a fic is coming across so visually to me -- cinematography is exactly right -- so I'm very glad the scenes are coming through. And I am super happy to hear that you like Arya! Ami can be a surprisingly hard person to make interesting/likeable, and you have pinned down all the traits I wished her to have perfectly. We're almost at ficathon time!! I am very excited, and I also can't wait to see your piece. (I'm also curious whether I'll be able to guess this year.) I must admit I'm a bit worried since writing my piece this year was like pulling teeth, but I ended up wrestling it into submission...
