Who: George and Usopp
What: They have a Talk after George confesses she has feelings for Lucci too, and they try to sort things out. And then possibly there's a BJ.
Where: Mini Merry
When: Uhh, a couple weeks ago? I'm too lazy to actually go back and look up the date.
Rating: R/NC-17ish? idk

George finished packing up the basket of goodies Sanji had helped her prepare and went to meet Usopp on the deck. She wasn't really sure of what she was going to say during this little day trip, or what they were going to do, but she'd made up her mind that this was worth trying to fix. She fidgeted anxiously with the handle of the basket as she waited.

Usopp came up the stairs from below deck, opening the door to the lawn deck. He saw George waiting, and gave a wan smile. Seeing her right now caused a tumult of emotions in him. It was nice to see her, because it meant they weren't awkwardly avoiding each other, but it still...hurt.

George waved a little awkwardly as he waslked to her. "Hey," she said. "Sanji and I made a bunch of snacks..."

"Hi, George." Usopp gave a little wave back to her, crossing the lawn deck a little slower than his usual speed. He tried smiling again, and was more successful this time. "Yeah? What'd you bring?"

George pulled the napkin she'd used to cover the food back to show him. "We made more chocolate chip cookies, brownies, chocolate pudding, and there's a thermos of milk." She avoided looking at him as she spoke.

Usopp couldn't help but notice how she was avoiding his eyes, and dropped his own gaze in turn, looking at his boots as he toed at a random piece of grass. "Sounds good!" he said, trying to sound cheerful. His voice came out too bright; it sounded completely hollow and false to his ears. Usopp's brow furrowed, and he took a few more steps so he was standing next to George, tentatively offering his hand. "Hey..." he said, in a more subdued voice. "Hey, George. ...it'll be okay." He only wished he felt sure of that himself.

George looked up to meet Usopp's eyes, swallowing a sudden urge to sob. She nodded in favor of saying anything for fear she actually would start crying and took Usopp's hand, gently threading their fingers together.

Usopp swallowed, feeling a lump forming in his throat, and squeezed George's hand a little, also not speaking. It wasn;t just because he didn't want her to hear his voice break, which it very well might if he tried to say anything; the moment seemed fragile, and he suspected words would shatter it. Instead he started walking, leading the way to the Mini Merry, and silently helping George aboard, stowing the basket behind them as they sat and he started the engine.

George still didn't say anything as Thousand Sunny got smaller and smaller as they got further and further away.

Now the prolonged silence was starting to get to Usopp, with only the sound of Mini Merry's steam engine chugging along, and her paddle-wheel slapping the water, waves sloshing around them. The longer they went without saying anything, the harder it felt to talk, and be the one to break the silence.

George knew that the silence had to be broken sooner or later, but she was still at a loss for something to say. She cleared her throat loudly, pretending it was a cough, but still said nothing, watching the sun setting on the horizon.

Usopp, too, felt the awkwardness increasing around them, and started to open his mouth to speak, but stopped himself. Instead he gave a soft sigh, and cut the engine, reaching over to place his hand hesitantly over George's.

George took Usopp's hand and threaded their fingers together, leaning in to kiss him again, a little more insistently, trying to show him how she felt with her kiss.

George turned her over so their hands were palm to palm. "...do you want a cookie or something?" she said finally, wincing a little at how insignificant the words were in a moment where it felt like something significant should have been said.

Usopp didn't mind. The words seemed to break the spell he'd been under, and he was able to turn to George and smile, albeit not as widely as he normally might have. "Sure, okay! Did you guys make it all today, or did he just have it around?"

George pulled the napkin off of the food and held it out to Usopp, taking a deep breath of almost-relief that the silence had at least been broken. "There was extra dough for the cookies, but we made the brownies and pudding."

Usopp selected a cookie. "Thanks. Do you like baking stuff, George?"

George took a cookie too. She shrugged. "I guess so. I like spending time with Sanji in the kitchen. He's totally in his element there, you know?"

Usopp nodded, slowly. He knew what she meant, and he liked to watch Sanji cook sometimes too, especially when he was baking, since he was generous with samples and would let Usopp and Luffy lick the bowls.

"...do you want some milk," George asked after a brief, awkward silence.

"Yeah. Milk would be good. ...thanks." Bothered by the awkwardness, but trying hard not to be, Usopp laced their fingers together loosely.

George handed him the thermos. "...we put chocolate chips in the brownies too," she said, just to have something to say.

"Thanks," he repeated, taking the thermos from her and holding it between his knees. He put the cookie into his mouth, not eating it yet, just holding it while he used his free hand to unscrew the lid of the thermos and pour some out into the cup in the lid. "How about you; do you want some too?" This was no good. He hadn't wanted to keep talking about the whole mess with Lucci and George and everything right now, and he still didn't want to, but ignoring it was a strain, too. He couldn't just pretend things were normal, but...he didn't know what else to do. They were both tired of it, and could use a break. Unfortunately, this didn't seem to be the kind of thing you could just take a break from.

George shrugged. "I'm okay for now." She took a bite of her cookie, her full mouth a good excuse to be silent. As she chewed she decided that if they were going to talk about everything that had happened, that he was going to have to bring it up.

Usopp nodded absently, finally taking a bite of his own cookie. He chewed slowly, taking occasional swigs of milk to wash it down, until the entire cookie was gone. Finally, sick of the awkward silence that had again descended, he sighed again. "This is really weird, huh." It wasn't a question, and he didn't necessarily expect an answer as he used a napkin to wipe the lip of the thermos and replace it. He just thought, if ignoring it wasn't working, maybe acknowledging it would at least make things a little easier.

George let the hand that held her cookie fall to her lap. "Yeah," she said softly, not knowing what else to say.

Usopp gave her hand a gentle squeeze, though he wasn't sure if he meant for it to encourage her, or himself. Probably both. "...it'll be okay," he finally said. "It's weird now, but it'll get better." Now he really was saying this more for his own benefit than for hers. He wasn't much one for thinking positive, but this seemed too important to just give up on so easily.

George sighed heavily. "I hope so," she said, staring at her cookie. She paused for another moment before softly saying, "I'm sorry."

"I know." There wasn't much else he could say in response to her apology. It wasn't as if he could say it was okay, because...it wasn't. Maybe in the future, yes, but right now it was still too raw. Usopp's brow furrowed deeply, a solemn look settling onto his face as he thought.

George didn't say anything for a long moment, staring at the cookie in her hand, which she now had absolutely no desire to eat. This wasn't really going as well as she'd hoped.

Usopp glanced over at George, and felt a twinge of pain at the look on her face. He even felt, he realized, a little guilty. He moistened his lips. "...hey," he said, giving her hand a gentle tug.

George looked up at Usopp, trying to school her features into something more benign and failing. "Yeah?"

He gave her what was meant as an encouraging smile, but it quickly faltered. Now that he had her attention, Usopp really didn't know what to say. He tried anyway, clutching to the one thing he knew was still true in this whole mess. "I love you."

George let out a little puff of air that she hadn't even been aware she'd been holding in and squeezed his hand. "I love you too," she said, her face softening a little.

Usopp gave her hand another small tug. "C'mere."

George put her half-eaten cookie back in the basket and turned toward him, resting her head on his shoulder and taking a deep breath.

Usopp sighed again, not heavily. After giving it one more small squeeze, he reluctantly pulled his hand free of hers and instead moved his arm around her shoulder, hugging her as he leaned his cheek against the top of her head. Maybe this didn't solve anything, but for now, it made him feel a little better, being close like this.

George wrapped both arms around Usopp, turning toward him more fully and held him tightly, for the moment, comforted.

George felt warm against him, and Usopp remembered the blanket he'd stowed against the night air, which was a little chilly. Twisting carefully, not wanting to disturb her, he reached back and grabbed it, trying to shake it open and cover their legs, at least.

The gesture was sweet, and George was touched, and suddenly burst into tears, biting at her lip to try to stay quiet so Usopp wouldn't notice.

Usopp thought he heard George give a small whimper, and he hugged her again, hesitantly bringing his other hand up to touch her hair. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," George said, trying to keep her voice as even as possible and keeping her face hidden in Usopp's shoulder.

Usopp pulled away a little, trying to see George's face. "...you're not fine."

George tried to keep her face hidden, turning away from him. She didn't say anything.

Usopp bit his lip, feeling his own eyes starting to water now, and trying to will the tears from coming.

"I'm sorry," George said again, voice sounding small. "I'm really sorry."

Usopp just nodded, knowing that if he spoke, his voice would break, and wrapped both his arms around her again, pulling her to his chest.

George held him tightly and let herself cry into his shirt.

Usopp swallowed hard, trying not to make any noise as tears began to spill from his eyes as well. He rubbed George's back in an absent circle, not really aware that he was doing it.

Feeling kind of like an idiot, George took a few deep breaths, trying to stop crying. she pulled away from Usopp a little, eyes wet. "I feel terrible," she said.

Usopp just nodded again, slowly, bringing up one hand to scrub away the tears on his cheeks with the heel of his hand. The tears kept coming, though, and as soon as his cheek was dried, they wet it anew. He gave a short sigh, and gave up trying to wipe them away.

George frowned, reaching out to wipe one of Usopp's tears away with her thumb. "I'm sorry, Usopp. I love you, you know that, right?"

Involuntarily, Usopp flinched away from her touch, then gave a small wince. It was more that he felt uncomfortable with being so vulnerable right now, but he was afraid she'd take his reaction the wrong way. He wiped his cheek again, and then clasped his hand over hers, nodding very slightly. "I know," he said, finally trusting his voice to stay even enough that he could speak. Still, his voice sounded so small and weak to him. "This is just...really hard. It kind of feels like everything's..." He trailed off, shrugging slightly. "Broken, I guess."

George's brow furrowed in concern. "No...Usopp...it's not broken. If it were broken we would...break up. We're not breaking up. It's not broken."

He gave another small wince at the phrase 'break up', but nodded again. "...I was a little afraid that you'd want to," he admitted in a small voice.

George sighed. "I was kind of afraid you'd want to," she replied.

Usopp looked at her, blinking in disbelief.

"You deserve better," George said in explanation, shaking her head helplessly.

That brought on a fresh bout of tears from his eyes. Usopp shook his head, beginning to laugh, though it was an uncomfortable laughter, born more of nerves than any kind of amusement. "I don't-- I love you," he said after his nervous laughter had died down. "...you didn't do it on purpose. And. It kind of makes sense. I mean." He made a vague gesture, flapping a hand towards himself. "He's Lucci and I'm...me."

"What is that supposed to mean?" George asked, frowning.

"Just..." Usopp shrugged, shifting his gaze to the side. "You know."

"Usopp..." George said, almost pleading. "He's not any better than you. You're both just...very different people. And I like that. I'm glad you're different. You give me things he can't."

Usopp, still reluctant to look George in the eyes, kept his gaze trained on the chopping waves to the starboard side of Mini Merry. "...like what?" He felt pathetic asking, but he needed some reassurance right now.

George reached out to take Usopp's hand between hers. "Well. For one, he old me that if I were with him he would still sleep with other people," she said, shrugging. "He's not as kind or gentle as you," she continued, "he's not sweet or shy or romantic."

Usopp flexed his fingers slightly in her hands, but still didn't look at her. "Oh," he said simply, but even that barely-word came out sounding bitter to his ears. It hadn't escaped his notice what the first thing she'd said had been. "So if he could promise he'd only want to be with you, then..."

George sighed, a little frustrated. "No! Usopp...that's not the point. He said that if I asked him to he wouldn't, but the fact is that he would want to." She bit her lip, belatedly realizing that that was a terrible argument in light of what had caused this awkwardness in the first place.

Usopp flinched slightly, even though her tone hadn't been that harsh. "But...you guys talked about it," he said in a defeated voice.

George pulled her hands away from his. "We were talking about jealousy. He doesn't understand monogamy and doesn't understand why you would be jealous if I were with him if I were with you too. And he said that if he were with me he would still be with other people. That it wouldn't even cross his mind not to be. Unless I asked. That's what happened."

"...oh." Usopp still didn't look at her, and as George pulled her hands away, he felt fresh tears welling up in his eyes. This was all wrong and he didn't know how to fix it. After all, George had told him that even though she loved Lucci too, she loved him more, and that he was more important to her, and that she wanted to be with him, not Lucci. That should be enough, shouldn't it? He believed her. He trusted her. But he still couldn't stop feeling like this, and all it was doing was making George feel worse. Maybe he would even drive her away like this; he didn't know. He just knew he wanted things back to normal, but maybe it was too late for that. "...I'm sorry," he muttered, keeping his voice low to keep it from breaking again. "I don't want to be acting like this. It's pathetic. I just..." Feeling a lump forming in his throat, he trailed off.

"It's not pathetic," George said, taking Usopp's hand again. "This is all my fault. I'm sorry. What do I have to do to prove it to you?"

Usopp clung to her hand like a lifeline, squeezing perhaps a bit too hard. He shook his head, shrugging. "I don't know. I don't--you shouldn't have to prove anything." He swallowed a small sob, and took a deep breath. "I know you love me. I know that. That should be enough, right? Lucci will...maybe he'll find someone else this won't be a problem anymore. It'll...be okay." Back to that mantra again.

George leaned in and kissed him, hard.

The kiss took him by surprise, and Usopp's eyes flew open wide, causing the remaining tears gathered there to run down his cheeks. He continued to squeeze George's hand, kissing her back somewhat, but mostly just waiting to see what she would do next.

George felt a little awkward that he wasn't enthusiastic with his kiss, and tried to counteract that by kissing him harder, wrapping both arms around his neck.

Usopp began to warm up to the kiss, his fears melting away a little as George embraced him. His own arms went around her, hands meeting at her back and fingers interlocking.

George let a breath out of her nose in relief and softened the kiss just a little.

Usopp pulled back a little when the kiss ended naturally, bringing one hand up to wipe the tear-tracks from his face. Then he replaced the hand, putting his arm back around her, and gently leaned his forehead against hers. "So..."

"Hm?" George asked, eyes locked with his, a little nervous about what he'd say.

He shrugged slightly, not even sure himself of what he was going to say. Usopp closed his eyes for a moment, trying to sort out his thoughts. "So..." he continued, just needing this last reassurance, "you promise, right? That it's really me you want to be with? That it's not just--" He cut himself off, looking down again as he opened his eyes.

George sighed, not sure if she could promise anything at this point. "It's not just what?"

Usopp made a helpless gesture with the hands behind George's back. "Not just...easier, I guess."

"Does this feel easy to you right now?" George asked, frowning.

"Of course not." Usopp sighed, scrubbing a hand over his face. "You know what I mean, though, right?"

"I love you," George said, trying to avoid making any promises. "You make me happy."

Usopp's brow furrowed, and he looked up at her again. "That's not what I asked, though."

George sighed again, placing her hands on either side of his face. "I chose you, Usopp," she said, "because I love you most. And I don't want to lose you. Not because it's easier. Okay?"

Usopp dropped his gaze again. "It's just...hard. Especially if you say you kind of love him too." He quickly raised his hands, as if to stave off a protest. "And I know it's not the same thing, and you love me more, but...what if that changes? It could. You used to only love me." He clamped his mouth shut, frustrated with himself again. He didn't mean to keep saying all these things. Then again, maybe it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He'd been holding a lot in, all his doubt and insecurities, and since George was being completely honest with him, even knowing it hurt...he really owed her the same respect.

George bit her lip. "I know. And I'm sorry. I wish I didn't. I really do. I hate this." She let her fingers drift back into Usopp's hair.

Usopp gave a small nod, though he wasn't sure exactly what he was acknowledging. He leaned his cheek into one of George's hands, feeling small. "I just...I'm afraid I might lose you in the end anyway, I guess."

George ran her thumbs over Usopp's cheeks, quiet for a moment, not sure what to say. "You have me now," she said. "I'm with you. I don't want to worry about the 'end.' I want to be with you."

"...that's just that pessimism again, I guess," he muttered, feeling suddenly ashamed of himself. "I'm sorry." He leaned forward and kissed her--softly, hesitantly--before drawing back again, bring one of his hands up and placing it over hers.

George took Usopp's hand and threaded their fingers together, leaning in to kiss him again, a little more insistently, trying to show him how she felt with her kiss.

Usopp flexed his fingers around hers lightly, giving in to the kiss and relaxing a bit.

George carefully deepened the kiss, and tightened the hand in his hair.

Usopp relaxed further, trying to push down his worry and just trust in George.

George pulled herself a little closer to him, trying to make him keep relaxing.

Usopp gave a small sigh into their kiss, most of the tension draining out of his body for now.

Feeling Usopp relax, George relaxed too, her kiss still insistent, but a little less forceful. "I love you," she said softly between kisses.

"I love you too, George," he replied, beginning to answer her soft kisses with ones of his own. Maybe it was partly that he was just tired of doubting so much, of worrying...but, for the moment, at least, he threw that away and didn't look back. He let his other arm fall around her in a hug.

George sighed happily into the kiss, so relieved that he was reciprocating.

The kiss ended naturally, and Usopp shifted a bit, leaning his head against hers.

George moved her hands to rest them lightly on Usopp's thighs, a blush creeping over her cheeks. "Can I do something for you, Usopp?"

Usopp blinked a little at her expression and the blush, not sure what to expect. "Sure. You can always--what is it?"

George bit her lip, her cheeks darkening, and she slid her hands up higher on his thighs as she moved to kneel in front of him.

"...oh!" Realization hit him, and he blushed as well. He gave a small cough to hide his embarrassment. "A-are you sure you want to?"

George pushed her hands up even higher on his thighs. "Yeah," she said, "if that's okay with you."

Usopp took a deep breath, and forgot to exhale for a moment. Then he swallowed, hard, his heartbeat picking up dramatically. On the one hand, he really did want it. On the other hand, he felt embarrassed, and mildly scared to death. But if George wanted to...and he was pretty sure he would like it, it was just hard to say so. He felt his blush going even deeper as he nodded. "It's okay," he said in a voice that sounded pathetically small.

George pushed herself up on her knees and pulled his face to hers by his collar, kissing him hard. "Are you sure?" she asked, breaking the kiss prematurely.

The abruptness of the kiss took him by surprise, and Usopp tensed at first, but quickly relaxed as it continued. He swallowed again as George pulled away, and nodded. "Yes," he breathed.

"Okay," said George, suddenly feeling very nervous about this. She'd never done this before and was hoping it would go well. She kissed the corner of Usopp's mouth and then moved along his jawline, pressing soft kisses as she moved back toward his ear, her hands running gently up and down his thighs as she did so.

Usopp could tell George was nervous, and he did his best to stay relaxed and let her do things at her own pace, not wanting to make it worse. He gave a soft moan as she kissed him, the movement of her hands on his thighs and their nervous anticipation already causing him to feel hyper-sensitive to every kiss.

George let her hands slide higher on Usopp's thighs as she nipped at his neck, just below his ear, trying to keep him relaxed.

Usopp let out a puff of air he hadn't even been aware he was holding, bringing one hand up to place his arm loosely around George's back.

George kissed down his neck softly, letting the fingers of one hand drift to the button of Usopp's jeans, slowly undoing it.

Usopp only tensed up for a moment before willing himself to relax, though his heart was hammering away in his chest as George's fingers brushed lightly against him through his jeans.

As she unbuttoned his pants with one hand, she let the fingers of the other hand slide along him a little more purposefully and nipped at his throat.

Usopp made a small noise, something between a surprised whimper and an appreciative sigh.

George finished unbuttoning Usopp's pants and pulled down the zipper, one hand rubbing him through his underwear while the other sneaked beneath the band.

He made a muffled sound of pleasure, biting it back as if afraid someone would hear. Usopp inclined his hips a bit, pressing himself against George's touch. He felt a quick pang of...something. Embarrassment, maybe, or even guilt? "You're...really sure it's okay?" he asked in a whisper. Then he held his breath, waiting on her answer, and ashamed of how desperately he was hoping it would be affirmative.

George nuzzled her nose against Usopp's throat. "Yes," she said, wrapping her fingers around him, "but I've never done this before so you'll help, right? Tell me if I'm doing something you don't like." She paused for a moment, then slid the hand around him up and down once. "Or something you do like."

Usopp swallowed, nodding. "Okay," he said, shivering a little at her touch. "I'll--I can do that."

George pulled back a little, kneeling back down in front of him, and took him out of his underwear, and pushed his pants and underwear down a little further.

Usopp tipped his hips a little, making it easier for her to pull his jeans and boxers out of the way, and swallowed again. His heart was still hammering away, even faster than before, and he realized he was holding his breath, waiting on George's first move.

George stroked him slowly with her hand. "You okay?" she asked, looking up at his face.

He gave a small moan, and nodded quickly. "I mean...okay, I'm a little nervous. That's all. But I'm fine."

George smiled. "I'm nervous too," she said. "Are you ready, though?"

Usopp smiled back at her fondly. "Yeah."

"Okay," George said, flushing a little. She moved her gaze back down to his erection and stroked him a few more times before leaning in to trace her tongue lightly over the head, experimentally.

Usopp sucked in a breath. The movement of George's tongue against him was so light as to be more teasing than anything else so far, but even that was...nice.

When it seemed like everything was okay with the light touch of her tongue, she applied a little more pressure, circling the head and looking up at Usopp's face to make sure this was okay.

Usopp saw her looking to him for confirmation and nodded slightly, pretty sure he must be blushing again. "Yeah, that's--" He paused to wet his lips. "It's good." Hesitantly, as if afraid he would disturb or distract her, he brought a hand to George's shoulder, wanting to touch her too, even if just a little.

George pulled back a little, smiling. "You can touch me if you want," she said, before leaning back in to take one long swipe of his cock from base to tip with her tongue.

"Oka--" Usopp cut himself off as George's tongue slid against him, inhaling sharply through his nose.

George thought that was a good reaction, but wasn't completely sure. She repeated the motion, a little slower this time, just trying to figure out what he liked.

That time felt even better, the more leisurely pace allowing him to enjoy the unfamiliar but very pleasant sensation. Usopp inhaled again, more slowly, and wet his lips, blushing furiously. "D-do that again. Please," he said in a voice that was barely above a whisper, gripping her shoulder a little.

George complied, feeling a little more confident now.

Usopp shifted a little. What George was doing definitely felt good, but still closer to the "teasing" end of things, and he was starting to feel a little antsy. He didn't want to rush her, though, and in point of fact, he wasn't even sure exactly what to ask her to do in the first place, so he willed himself to stay still and see what she tried next before saying anything more.

George stroked him a few times with her hand as she took a breath and steeled herself to go for it, her stomach flipping over in anxiety.

Usopp moved the hand at her shoulder to her face, cupping her cheek for a moment before smoothing back a strand of her hair, hoping the silent touch would reassure her.

George smiled a little up at Usopp. reminded of why she was doing this. She leaned in and took the head of Usopp's cock into her mouth, applying light suction.

Usopp gave a small gasp. This was something completely new, unlike anything he'd felt before, and it was definitely beyond the realm of teasing. "A-ah." The hand near George's face dropped a little lower, fingers curving around her neck.

It was too big for her to take very much of it into her mouth, so as George began to move, sliding her mouth up and down, she used her hand as well, starting up a slow, steady rhythm.

Usopp's breathing sounded impossibly loud to his ears, but the contrasting sensations of George's hand and her mouth on him were-- He gasped again. It felt like it must have been her tongue, flicking up against the underside of him in a particular way. Maybe it hadn't even been on purpose. Usopp flushed even more, but he'd told her he'd let her know what felt good, so... "U-use your tongue some more. That felt really--" He cut himself off again with a hiss of sharply inhaled breath as she complied.

George was feeling a lot more confident now, repeating things that made Usopp react and keeping her rhythm steady.

Usopp's curled fingers tightened a bit, sliding down to the juncture of her neck and shoulder, where they began to unconsciously begin to softly knead as she continued. His breathing grew more heavy and ragged, and he didn't bother trying to articulate actual words, just making small sounds of what were unquestionably pleasure.

George was actually pretty proud of herself, so far, for being able to get reactions like this out of Usopp. she sped up the motions of both her mouth and her hand, wanting to make him come, to show him how she felt about him.

Truth be told, Usopp was getting close to it by now. He let his hips rock a bit with George's rhythm, but was doing his best to keep himself in check, since he didn't want to move around too much and mess up whatever she was trying to do. His stomach felt tight.

George sped up a little more, taking as much of him as the could into her mouth as she bobbed her head, her free hand clinging to his hip.

The continued movement of her mouth around him, along with some well-timed flicks of her tongue, and abruptly he was there, with just barely enough time to warn her. "G-George--I'm gonna--" Usopp cut himself off with a moan, his hips giving a small spasm.

George let him come in her mouth and swallowed, making a face at the taste for just a moment before schooling her features and smiling up at him.

Usopp didn't notice the face, still recovering for the moment. If he were thinking straight he'd have felt a bit guilty about coming in her mouth at all--he definitely hadn't meant to--but he was still distracted in the wake of what had been an amazing orgasm. He was slouched back in the seat a bit, head now tipped up as he breathed out a long, satisfied sigh. "...wow." He tilted his head down, to give George an amazed smile. "That was really...wow." He felt a little stupid, but he wasn't sure how else to articulate how great that had felt. "Thanks. You're just...amazing." Usopp held out his hand to her.

George laughed self-consciously, taking Usopp's hand. "You're welcome," she said, flushing a little.

Usopp pulled her up from her knees, steadying her as she rocked back on her heels and stood. He stood too, so he could pull up his boxers and jeans and zip them back up before sitting again. He tugged George after him, urging her to sit on his lap.

George sat in his lap, relieved at the gesture. She smiled, wrapping an arm loosely around his shoulders. "I love you," she said.

Usopp pressed his face against the spot where her neck and shoulder met, and put his arms around her too, clinging a bit. He wanted to tell her he loved her too, but he had a lump in his throat again, and waited till he could be sure his voice wouldn't betray him. Instead of speaking, he pressed soft kisses to the skin of her neck and the line of her collarbone.

George let her fingers wander into the hair at the base of Usopp's neck as he kissed her, sighing happily.

George's fingers tickled a little, but something about the touch helped convince him that this was all real. Things really were going to be okay. "I love you," Usopp murmured into her shoulder, still clinging to her.

"I love you too," George said, clinging back, feeling much better about the situation for the time being.

Usopp stayed still a moment longer, just clinging and being clung to. He was trying to figure out how to ask something without ruining the atmosphere, but finally he gave up trying to find the best way to broach it and just asked. "Uh, George? Since you...I mean. Do you want me to do something for you, right now?"

George blushed a little and shook her head. "You don't have to. I just wanted to do something for you," she said, scratching lightly at his scalp.

"Yeah, but--I know I don't have to. But I--you sure you don't want me to?"

"I'm sure," said George, kissing his forehead. "Don't worry."

"Well. Okay, then," Usopp replied, looking a little troubled. It felt uneven to him, especially considering how amazing that had just been. Which reminded him... "But, really, George. Thank you. You didn't have to do that. I mean...I'm glad you did because it was--" He flushed, realizing what he was saying, and stopped himself from going on.

George hugged him tightly. "No problem," she said softly, right near his ear.

Usopp gave a small sigh, holding her. His mind was still full of conflicting thoughts, but he tried to push his doubts down again, and for now, it was easier to do.

George sighed, for the moment feeling content. "Do you want any more cookies or brownies?" she asked, suddenly remembering the basket she'd brought.

"Maybe a brownie," Usopp said, threading his fingers together where they met on the far side of George's waist. He didn't want to let her go right now, as if she was only really there as long as they stayed in contact, and if it ceased, she'd disappear. He supposed he needed the reassurance, still, and felt a little ashamed of himself that he wasn't able to simply accept her word.

George leaned over in his lap to pick up the basket, and grabbed a brownie. Feeling bold, she pulled a little piece off and offered it to Usopp's mouth.

He gave a small chuckle, and opened his mouth, letting her feed him. He chewed slowly, leaning his head against George again, and tightening his arms around her waist just a bit. "Thanks," he said once he'd swallowed. The night was quiet again, the only sound the soft lapping of waves against Mini Merry's hull.

George sighed, relieved that things seemed to have gone at least sort of back to normal. She took a bite of the brownie too. Having Usopp be able to relax, now finally she could relax too and just enjoy the moment. And the brownies.
