here Pagus, ever the historian, promptly informed Rush of the background of the two locations. The Gaslin Caves were a stretch of caverns created by massive earthquakes long before Athlum was founded. Robelia Castle was built 300 years ago by Baron Vonn d'Herouet, who, incidentally, was later betrayed by one of his vassals and killed. Rumours pervade that there was a labyrinth below it, but that wasn't yet confirmed. By now, both locations have came to be inhabited by monsters and criminals.
Choosing to check out the Robelia Ruins first, David nominated Pagus to go with Rush.
Torgal reassured Rush that Lord David was completely committed to helping Rush locate Irina, because they were the children of the famed Doctors Sykes. After being warned once again to watch his tongue in front of the Lord by Emma, Rush and Pagus finally set out.
The Ruins of Robelia Castle were to Athlum's west. At its entrance, Pagus handed over an Alizarin Orb to Rush. "It will enable you to use mystic arts."
Mystic arts, more commonly known as spells, was a way to channel energy through one's weapon, with fantastic results. With this particular orb, Rush became able to use Invocations - mystic arts encompassing close-range attacks.
Making their way through the ruins, dodging and fighting Vile Lizards and Landworms, Rush and Pagus arrived at the Sweeping Safehold. There was no Irina. Instead, a hooded man was speaking to a group of people. They were male and female, young and old, and from all races.
"So! as you see, Remnants are nothing more than evil charm that add to the depravity of men. You may not see the effects now, but not far into the future, terrible disastor awaits! By then, it'll be too late to change our sinful ways! Men are meant to work hard and make their own way. We must not accept the temptation of easy life that Remnants provide."
In a whisper, Rush asked Pagus what was going on. Somewhat bemused, Pagus decided they must have walked into an anti-Remnant activist rally. Some of these people were even dressed as Athlumian soldiers, with plans to infiltrate the city.
Perhaps they spoke too loud - Rush and Pagus were soon discovered. With the leader crying to sacrifice them to the cause, there was no choice but fight. Fortunately, the activists weren't terribly good fighters.
There was no sign of Irina amongst the activists, and they hadn't seen her either. There was no choice but to return to Athlum Castle and follow Blocter, who was told by David not to get too overboard, to the Gaslin Caves in the southwest.
Disappointingly but not unexpectedly, there was no Irina. But there were girls though, quite a few of them, caught by slavers and kept here. There was hardly any need to talk - Bloctor had already pulled out his axe.
"I'm going to smack your faces in! Rush, you want a piece too?"
After disposing of the slavers, it was going back to Athlum again, empty-handed.

here Dillmoor was made of hills and cliffs, once the home to a bustling village long ago, blessed with fertile soil by the Remnant Rubber Soul. Now, with its Remnant gone, it was a nest for monsters such as Divians, Raptors, Vile Plants, Vicious Plants and even Jhana Archighters. When the group arrived, Torgal suddenly became interested in Rush's talisman, which held a special power according to Emma. He wanted to know if it could be used outside of battles. Not really knowing the capabilities of the talisman, Rush agreed to show it to him, and discovered that on top of everything else it had already done, it could also manipulate time. "Proper application of such a power would give a clear advanage when battling monsters, as well as allow you to engage many foes in battle at once," Torgal said after witnesses the power. "However, it is almost certain that such a power cannot be applied indefinitely. Use it wisely."
Bearing this in mind, they set off, fighting monsters along the way, to the Dillmoor Town ruins.

here At the other end, Rush just left the castle. "I thought I could depend on those guys..." he said to himself, looking up the building he just came out from. "Shoulda just done it myself from the beginning." But then, looking at the Town Square, he realised he had absolutely no leads. What should he do now? "But look how far I got on my own. I guess... I guess I DO need other people's help."

The man who performed the kidnap of Irina, Jager is a man strong in both body and mind. Working by Wagram's side, he is aware of Wagram's many dirty deeds. He controls the flying Remnant, Lob Omen.
Random notes: Robelia and Gaslin are mostly the "teach you the battle basics" parts of the game (and sidequest areas), but there are little bits that show the mannerisms of Athlum generals, so I included it. Also, there are people who are anti-Remnants.
