Watching a show on post-Katrina horrors and there is one guy telling the story of being on vacation in New Orleans directly prior to Katrina. I had a rival. About 5 years ago he encountered kidney failure, and has since spent every week, twice a week in dialysis. He kept his head up the entire time, never knowing when Death would come aknockin'. Finally, he got the transplant he needed, and has died due to complications.
