Perhaps, perhaps...

This was the short story I wrote during NaNo, it was part of the 50k total as it two days to write and was only 1200 words long. The cathedral in Chichester celebrated its 900th anniversay this year so I wrote a New Years Day story about the Saxon masoners finishing off the catherdral for the new Norman king. William the Conquerer ordered the catherdral built and then his son saw it completed in 1108. Anyway, I thought it might get ahead of the other entries being of local interest and different to the usual Christmas/New Years story about eating too many minced pies and reminiscing about lost cats, or whatever the usual short story for this time of year is.

Thank you for your support, I do really appreciate it. Now to find a babysitter.

So, if 'Break a Leg' is good luck for actors, what do you say to writers?

Keep us apprised. :)

LOL. Thanks, hon. Perhaps we say, 'Break a keyboard!' at least I can mend them now.

I will indeed give a full and frank report, win or lose.

Thank you so much. I will enjoy meeting the other writers, for certain. It just seems so odd going out and meeting people though as so often writing is a solitary sport.

Thank you, hon! I've had a couple of offers from friends to accompany me, which bowled me over. I think I will go alone and try to melt into the background as much as possible. This is way out of my comfort zone.
