Finally saw Don 2 on Friday. Here are some thinky-thoughts!

- I freaking loved how there were so many references from the first film, I wasn't expecting that; subtle but great for uber-fans like me ;)
- I said I wouldn't be mad if there was SOME reference to Anita from the first film, so the fact that the movie opened with the voiceover of that Anita-Don scene from the end of the first Don left me content enough that I won't go yell at Farhan Akhtar on Twitter now :P they didn't completely pretend she never existed
- Lara Dutta pretty much WAS Anita though, they just gave her the name Ayesha instead; what exactly was different about her character? will all of Don's girls in every movie have name that starts and ends with A then? and curly hair? and be called 'sweetheart'? and dance once in a club? lol
- Don still watches Tom & Jerry, hahahahaha, that reference made me laugh the most :D
- loved the Hrithik cameo, of course they got him in for the dance scene, lmao, and it was kind of cool how Hrithik was kind of acting the way SRK acts as Don, good job; also, loved that when Don-as-Hrithik danced with Roma he did the same thing he does in Main Hoon Don from the first film
- Roma still knows martial arts, yay for continuity! wish Priyanka had a better role, though
- speaking of Hrithik I have to admit that he and Priyanka had more chemistry than she did with Shahrukh, which was kind of jarring just a little bit; I don't know why but I felt like PC and SRK didn't have the same kind of chemistry that they usually do :/
- Roma/Don is just a big no-no for me, it makes both of their characters OOC; Roma should hate him for killing her brother and using her and he doesn't care about anyone and certainly had no qualms using her as a means to an end in the last flick
- I like my Don hot and badass, but why was he less evil in this one? he was even saying 'please' and 'thank you' to everyone around him wtf??
- Kunal Kapoor's character was good and I liked the twist; would be interesting to see him and Arjun Rampal face off in Don 3 if that's possible and definitely would love to see a Priyanka-Lara showdown
- I had no idea that Hai Yeh Maya was sung by a woman but my parents kept going on about Usha Uthup and I was very very surprised by that!
- also HOW IS THAT NOT SUNIDHI IN DUSHMAN MERA?? I was convinced it was for such a very long time, woowwwwww
- THE ENDING WAS THE EXACT SAME AS LAST TIME OMG; like down to the fact that they show flashback clips to explain the final twist, to the girlfriend being jealous about Roma to the final line and laugh
- SRK had such an awesome wardrobe omg I loved it to bits he was lookin' fiiiiine!
- was interesting how while he was in Thailand Don had like an Asian hairstyle goin' on
- that silver gun Don was sporting kicked so much ass
- overall I liked it exactly the same amount as I liked Ra.One, but waaaaaaaaaay less than I liked the first instalment

I'm giving it an 8.22/10. Which is what I would give Ra.One as well. Am already looking forward to Yash Chopra's next directorial film with Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, which they started shooting today!! :)

Alright, and because I am super curious about the answers to both of these questions...
