What's the best way to ask someone, "Did I do anything to piss you off?"

A few months ago Logan assured me, "Zane, I think it's safe to say that nobody in Nashville is pissed at you."

I just need to be reminded every once in a while.

Isn't that called paranoid schizophrenia in most parts of the world?

paranoid schizophrenia usually consists of hearing voices tell you things. Not fake hunches, but still, I'm not pissed at you.

Probably just tell them how much you care about them, how much you value their friendship and you want to make sure that everything is okay, and then ask if you've done anything to hinder that friendship.

Maybe? You're too much of a caring person for people to stay mad at you, i believe.

Maybe "pissed" is too strong a word. I often fear that I am a huge annoyance to other lj users.

Logan says that at least it's internet annoyance, which is different and more mild than real life annoyance. Still, I hate to subject my friends to even that, if I can help it.

And, of course, if I can convince myself that I am internetly annoying people, it's not hard to convince myself that that annoyance grows and turns into pissing those people off.

But I think I just wrote an entire essay that consists of the same line, so I shall cease now.
