I'd say that part of the problem is that he doesn't know what Turkey defines as "benefits" and what he doesn't, but also that... well. Being a manwhore is kind of what Turkey does. It's a major shift for him even if they really hadn't done anything in awhile, because that was just an assumption on Zhores's end that the mutual manwhoring would continue eventually. Okay and also said side-benefits somehow got tangled up in his Feelings, much like they did with Louise, but that's a whole 'nuther issue right there.
