I think I first came across Kentucky's HR 256 on Livejournal. It's fucking awesome!

I love the south! You have a county in Tennessee that's trying to ban gays outright, the Klan, the "Monkey Trials", and HR 256.

Wasn't Hitler from Alabama or something?

Ahh, ishhh! That tops mine by far.

I was thinking about it and the thing that shocked me the most was coming across a teenager's journal where she spoke openly about her depression and "cutting" herself. She seemed like a typical teenager, had a boyfriend, loved horses, liked the Scary Movie movies and then inbetween she'd seemingly get depressed and announce she cut herself. I just found it amazing in a sad sort of way.

My favorite LJ reading of all time is still one by tibstanglewood entitled "On Growing Up Gay (and Fear)". Unfortunately she's left the LJ realm, but maybe I can persuade her to email me some more writings. That would go under the "thought provoking" category.

Under the "shocking" category, I'd put the writings of another former LJ friend who has deleted her journal. Her mental state seemed to be spinning out of control after the death of a friend.

The "craziest" might be your post about getting buried in a snowbank. It had my heart racing!

This just requires way too much thought for my overworked brain. So there. :P
