Fucking seasonal affective disorder. I hate it. Realized that I've had it since at least college...realized by noticing that my grades always slipped during winter quarter.
Yeah, right there with you...I don't deal with the cold particularly well, as I'm a past sufferer of frostbite and hypothermia...at the same time. (Ask me about the resulting incident with the flare gun sometime.)
The lack of being able to bike during the winter kills me, too. Ugh. There's this nutjob I work with who rides to work every single f'n day. Even today with the -30°F windchill. Crazy f--ker.
I think the lack of daylight is the worst. At least we are past the hump and the days have been getting longer for about a month now. Do the dogs like to play in the snow? You could take them for a walk, I'd bet they'd enjoy that. Ruts are easy to get into. Lately I just seem like I have lots of little projects going that I never get done.

What helps me is the following:
- bright-light therapy. get a light you can have shining on your face while you're in the office and one for home.
- exercise regularly
- sleep LESS, even set the alarm clock on weekends
- make sure you're getting the USRDA of Vitamin D, and take megadoses of Vitamin C
