That's an interesting pet peeve that you've got there. ;) I do that all the time with the bottles. Nowadays all the bottles are plastic so they don't break. :P

I've actually seen a few sauce bottles with a wide spout on the bottom, so that there's no need to turn the bottle over, it's constantly in the pouring position.
