Hey Wassy, its me, LJ from the FL. I have read about your dilemma and would like to inform you that this is not the only time a cat has lied about its apparent "sex" until a certain time of the month.(wink wink) My mom's cat did the same thing. Well I kind of tried to tell her it was a girl, but she was convinced otherwise until it went into its own heat. Cats are funny creatures. I think Barles is a great name for a girl cat just the same. I've also had another experience when I was living with my cousins, their cat was in heat and the boy cats would travel for miles to sit at the window and try to get to her. So be careful, them male cats can smell that shit. They will try to deflower your little kitty. LOL.
