It's not that the people in the United States don't care about black people, it's more that they care about them less then other people. Most people don't want to see other people die; black, white or yellow. I guess they don't keep any aid near New Orleans? 3 days? Did they ship it in from Canada? After the Tsunami aid began flowing in within ( Read more... )

haha, nice comment sharlene.
yeah i think we are all witnessing the fall of an empire. it's good, cause im of the belief that all the things you said are true, and in general America is doing a shitty job as a country and "world leader" but it's also kinda sad. It just means the cycle is continuing. empires rise and fall. I guess they had good times and good leaders, but it never lasts. I would just like to see someone be a good leader, anywhere in the world, and last for their life, or as long as that country allows rulers to last.

The problem is....the empire that will take the place of the mighty united states...(yeah I am a poet) will no in any way be better...every major leader and empire uses an ideal to get into power..when they are in power...they only need to play lip service to those ideas and can basically continue doing the same thing as the previous leaders

exactely. But the problem is, maybe im getting jaded, but I kind of think even the strongest most moral person, once they are given power, they cave. They get confused by the details, and forget the big picture, cuase they are now in the big picture, and you now can't see the country for the money (trees) haha. It's so sad too, even once they got to New Orleans they started pumping that water that already killed 4 people because of the human waste, dead bodies of humans and animals and the general toxins from the sewers, they are just pumping it in the lake, i can't remember what it's called. and when they were asked if they are filtering it at all, they said "oh we can't even get in to save people, how are we going to filter it." but they can get the fucking tube in to pump it out, couldn't they just put a friggen grate on the opening. i dunno it's just sad when things go wrong with human engineering, and people continue to do things half ast. the real catastrophy was the levees breaking. and doesn't anyone find it odd that there ( ... )
