Where have all of the WaT related pictures gone? Does anyone know? I wanted to do a "cast in other roles" challenge as suggested by
_elvie, but I couldn't find very many example pictures, so forget finding enough for people to icon.
infedelssurveillance is still no more;
federalthreesome's gallery has been gutted, such that I couldn't find any of the pictures that used to be there, even of the main three that the site is purportedly about;
Pretty FBI boys,
Absolutely Enrique,
The Source, and
MPUE did have WaT caps, and even some candids of the actors, but I couldn't find anything of the actors in other roles. The only site that I found with caps of an actor in another role was
EricClose.net, and as amusing as I found the pictures (especially the one of EC in
Hercules), I couldn't do a challenge of just EC.
So, really, if anyone knows where these pictures could be found, I would be eternally grateful. If not, I might have to give in and use NetFlix and PowerDVD to make my own captures. (And the last thing I need in my life is another distraction! *grin* *sigh*)
Sorry about that. Hours of looking for non-existant pictures tends to make me a wee bit cranky.
So as the first suggestion didn't pan out, I'm going to the second.
ockle suggested that I "borrow" from
obsessiveicons yet again and do a word challenge. I decided that it would be an interesting idea. So, your challenge for the week is to use a picture to define or demonstrate a word/concept. Said word/concept needs to be stated on your icon, but feel free to add additional text (such as the definition) if you so desire. (If you add extraneous text such as a quote or a lyric or something, please have the word be the prominent text, with the other as secondary. If you have questions, ask.)

So to sum up this week's special rule: you must have a prominent word displayed on your icon and the image (WaT-related, of course) must define or be an example of said word.
The Other Rules
**You may submit three icons this week.
**You are free to use any pictures (picture sources can be found in the userinfo, or, actually, earlier in this post in my rant *grin*), textures, brushes, etc. that you would like.
**You may blend caps or animate this week.
**Please submit your icons to this post, both the icon and the url please.
**Don't share your icons until voting is finished.
**Icons are due Friday, September 22nd by midnight EST.
Here is that time converted to other time zones.
If you're new or just want a refresher, you can check out the
userinfo for a complete set of rules.
If you need any help with entering the challenge there is a tutorial
here.
And again, if you have any suggestions, please visit
here to make them. (Or, heck, just mention them anywhere; I'll listen to whatever you suggest, wherever you suggest it! *grin*)
As the season should be starting right around the time of the voting for this challenge, and summer is pretty much over for us Northern Hemisphere people, I was thinking about going back to the one week challenges after this one. That is, unless, everyone prefers the two week schedule so you have a complete weekend to work on the icons. Let me know.
If you have yet
to vote for the current challenge, please do so. I haven't officially tallied up the votes yet, but they appear to be all over the place (it took 5 people before an icon got a second vote!) so every vote counts.
Again, I apologize for the delay. And the mini-rant.
