So... Let's see... Moving to kawasaki on my own, assuming this rental agency gets off its butt and sends me the contract. Friend's looking for a new job in Joetsu. Ummm everyone's leaving all at once at my job, so they're kind of working us to death until then. Hey, congrats on moving ahead! :)

That's a cultural clash thing - I bet they didn't expect you to "dishonor" you bosses infront of the other workers. :p

It's the fair thing. I rememeber a similar case with an "Eikaiwa" center back in 2004 when I lived there. They did a lot of other crap as well.

But it's great you're standing up for yourself (and the others). :D

Thanks!

Uh, well, he was Australian. And it's more like... I said over the phone to the sub-boss, "Isn't this against the law, maybe?" and she complained to the big boss, so the big boss came miles and miles to a meeting, then he said, "I didn't come here to talk about JTs. What else is bothering you?" and looked at me. Soo he kind of made me do it? I guess?

Thanks!

(heh.)

Yeah. Um, well, we argued about it for a few hours, then argued about something else for a few hours, then when that matter was mostly concluded he tried to slip in a comment about the previous argument, which was a complete lie and I wouldn't let slide, so then we argued about the original argument again (the labor laws). And yeah, most of my coworkers argued for me. I wouldn't have been able to do it without them, honestly. I was pretty sick that day.
