In the Leyline of Fire (Epilogue) - part 3 of 3

“Our line,” the vampire corrected her firmly.

“You think I’d subject a child of mine to what I went through?” Ivy asked bitterly.

Blacker eyes flashed her way. “You think Piscary would have dared take liberties with you if I had already been in full possession of myself back then? I heard what he did to Kisten. Even as I was, he never dared to ( Read more... )

Wow, talk about a perfect Ivy and Rachel story, happy ending and all...also, I really, really, really, really love how you wrote her Mom, I know she's suppose to be like horrible in Kim's thingamajig, but I like to think of her as they way you wrote her in your work...anyway, I love your story and i'm glad you actually came through with the epilogue, lol...i'm sad that the end has come though = )

Thank you! And thanks for sticking with the story, even if it took awhile between posts. ;) Glad you liked Ivy's mom. There's so little of her in the books (that I've read), that I pretty much made things up along the way. This story's ended, but somehow I get the feeling it's not my last Ravy fic. =)

Hey Mel, thanks! Great that you liked it, specially the end and Momma Tamwood (lol, I can totally see you writing a Ravy fic where Rachel calls her "Momma Tamwood" *hint hint*).

Ah but is Mrs. T really supportive, or is she supportive because it'll make Ivy more likely to agree to become Rynn's scion, and consolidate power and so on? ;) Ivy doesn't trust her mom, and the one thing she took at face value was the one thing her mom lied about. There's lots of room for interpretation when it comes to Mrs. T.

On Rachel, I kept thinking that by this point Rachel's faced Piscary, Cormel, demons, etc. so she'd be scared but not that scared. But facing your gf's mom for the first time when you're entirely serious about her? Nerve-wracking on a whole other level.

Thanks again!

Oh sorry, was I being subtle? ;) Hell yeah! If you have the time and Muse doesn't mind. :) I miss your Ravy fics.

If anything, this feels like the first few chapters of a long story. The possibilities you presented...

Hmm it could've been. Or it could be the first story in a series. Or it could just end here. As you say, lots of possibilities. ;) What I really set out to do though was to write at least one story centered on Ivy and Rachel, and how they got together.

I have been following this story for awhile now and I enjoyed reading it. It seems that this story could easily lead to a continuation -- one where Rachel consents to being Ivy's scion and stands by her side as Ivy eventually attains the rule of Cincy's camarilla. It would be interesting, and because of the love and trust Ivy and Rachel share, it could be a powerful, rewarding relationship for both of them.

Thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! You're right, this story could lead to a continuation but that depends on a lot of things.

Thanks, glad you liked it! Mrs. T would be an absolutely scary mother-in-law in any book, but then Rachel's been through a lot.
