Making the fuck-ups do the work instead of the good ones is one thing -- a very good thing. Reminding them that they're screwed if the big boss happens to come by right then isn't necessary though. I mean, it's their problem. Don't get in the way of what they do on the side, assuming they get their stuff done. That's a sure way to be a jerk to everyone.
