Beautiful pictures! People in swimsuits! Warmth! Yay!
And a chicken! I love it when chickens turn up in odd places. :) We have a park on the edge of our town that's really a big woodsy area. It has picnic tables with fryers scattered here and there, a bridge over a stream with ducks swimming about, and a nice winding road through all the trees. We frequently drive through in the summer just to admire all the pretty. Two summers ago we were puttering along the path when we saw a group of people having a picnic. Running about among the adults cooking, children playing, music blaring, and other summery activities was - you guessed it - a chicken! He seemed to be part of the family group. I made hubby drive around again just so I could stare at the chicken some more. After that, almost every time we went there we saw the same group with their little pet chicken. We started saying, "Let's go for a drive through the woods to see the chicken." The following summer, the chicken had disappeared. I'm rather afraid they ate him. :-(
I love parks like that. I'm not sure if we have many woodsy area parks here. I mean like in the mountains woodsy. We have beach parks but they dont feel quite the same. They're both great though! I remember having picnics in woodsy places like Canada, New York, Utah but that was a long time ago. No chickens but there were a lot of birds and squirrels. Over here I've been seeing more and more chickens running wild. It's like if you want a bbq in the park you can grab a fresh chicken and roast it. I'm not sure if anyone's done that but it could be tempting to people that wanna pretend they're playing Survivor.
I've never seen a chicken at a Michigan beach. :) But I have seen chickens at woodsy parks. I think they probably come from nearby farms. We also tend to see a lot of wild turkeys.
