two thousand and sixteen: fanfiction

Okay, so I'm going to try something new.

I've been terrible at reading actual books in the last few years, but I'm always reading fanfic. Like a ridiculous amount of it. So I thought I would try and keep a record of the fics I read in 2016, or at least the best ones, so I have some idea of how much I actually read in a year.

I still think fanfiction counts as part of reading and not a bad habit to do :D
(I tend to read way more fanfiction than actual books!)

Exactly!! Reading is reading, and so I definitely think fanfiction should count :D And yes, I definitely read way more fanfiction than anything else so this will be a much more accurate account of how much I read in a year!

Yes! Of course, I always love reccomendations!! Those are the shows I read about most often, but I'll read anything from any of my fandoms :)

This is a good/terrifying idea, lol. I might do this too! Although I'm not sure how I'd keep up with keeping track and I'm a little scared of the results. :P

I totally agree with the terrifying part. I'm pretty sure I'm going to regret this when I see the crazy amount of fanfic I read in a year but it would be pretty cool to see too.

I have no idea how I'm going to keep up with it either, tbh. I'm already struggling and it's only been a few days.

Go you! I'm kind of planning to do the same - I feel like it's not fair to myself to not count all the fanfic words I read and just the books.

Haha, thank you :) I'm sure I'll struggle to keep this updated, too, but it would be really cool to look back on at the end of the year if I did manage it.
