I wrote my first Livejournal entry on April 7, 2001. I was 16 and blissfully ignorant about many things. A quick glance at those first few entries was enough to make me cringe and click over to a different tab. I remember those days although it was the 70’s for me. So many “No’s”. I too have tunes that take me back to those dimple, protective days. Still I know that Now is better.

My parents were quite protective, and I wasn't allowed out much in school, though not quite as isolated as it sounds you were, and I was seriously explaining this exact same thing to my therapist about two weeks ago. I thought I was coming off as a massive geek, but she found it fascinating, haha. Well, you see, there were a bunch of girls on the internet in the late 90s/early 2000s...

This is a great way to reach out to find you're not alone. It also on occasion shows you you're more alone than you thought, as I have discovered too, but I'm glad it has helped you so much. Thanks for sharing.
