Well, Volume Four just ended Monday night and I must say the show definitely made up for the suckage it spewed out in Volume 2 and Volume 3. Firing the lame ass writers and getting some new ones with two brain cells to rub together will do that for ya. Honestly, I know fans who could have done a better job of telling their story ( Like MX1. :D ) than the writers that wrote out Volume 2 .
But that's no longer a issue, since this Volume made sure to fix some errors and pick up the storytelling to the former high standard. I know lots of people cried "Blah" when this Volume started, and figured the show would continue heading down the road laid out for it in 2 and 3. But no -- several plot loopholes have been tied up, and some new insights to the eclipse, and the Heroes origins have been introduced. Also, several references to the first Volume plots, long thought lost or forgotten, came back. The saga of the Petrellies played itself out, culminating in the death of Nathan and the reclaiming of Peter. Syler grew to be scary once again, and then was dealt with in a very interesting way. Matt was forced to commit an evil act, tinkering with someone's soul and effectively killing them, and now must live with it. Hiro had an anurisim and ( Maybe??? ) died while Ando is becoming more than the sidekick he once was. And Claire is maturing rapidly in a direction Noah isn't too happy with. But she is definitely developing into a Heroine.
This Volume, for me, restored my faith in the show. I encourage all to pick up on it and keep an eye peeled for the new villian of the show. The Ice Queen, now a Water Bitch. Jessica/Tracy, a very informed and connected villianess not burdened by morals. Won't she be surprised if she tried to hook up with Nathan again? hehehe
