A couple of weekends ago I went off on a male-bonding trip into the mountains with my brothers-in-arms, Horse and Sensei, to breathe the fresh Autumn air and see the glory's of nature. It's an annual tradition we have developed, and it's lots fun staying at Horse's family farm with his two goofy cousins and his delightful aunts.

( This year, however, I was broke and couldn't afford to go. )

Now, most people who know me know I'm not Republican or Democrat. I'm not an Independent either, or even a Libertarian. ( Whatever the hell that is. ) Mostly I abhor politics, because much like religion, it's all a matter of faith. You either believe in the political BS you are fed or you don't. Either way, it's still BS.

( However, I do have varied opinions on things in DC and how things work there. )

I'm such a bum -- I didn't remember to mention MX2's birthday today . . . actually, it was Tuesday 10/7/08. Since I work midnights that's still today to me, but that's not the same. She was my wife for 13 years . . . ya think I'd remember that lil date ( Read more... )

Well, today is my roommate's ( Sensai ) birthday and he's going to divide it between spending time with a mutual friend of ours ( Horse ) and me. Cause ya know, we can't all celebrate his special day together. hehehe

Mostly, I think it's because their celebration involves booze, and I don't drink. :D
