I think my feelings depend on what actually happened. There are just so many things to consider with this episode, and I just... I haven't collected my thoughts yet, hence this very short post.
I've watched the season finale TWICE now, and I'm still not feeling any better about it than I was the first time. I hate to say it, but I don't trust the writers to make season four amazing...especially after...the incident that is heh, season two. (People ask why I bash on s2 so much, and it's because of the writing and the dropped plot points. Season 1, we didn't have NEARLY as many dropped plot points but there were some. S2 just bombed us with unsolved mysteries. --BOSCO, is one.--)
I still haven't finished my rewatch, go figure. xD Anyway, I completely understand your distrust! S2 wasn't so great as far as all that goes. However, I think this is such a major plot point, there's no need to worry about them dropping it. I mean, this is fucking Red John we're talking about, aka the antagonist of the whole damn show! There has to be repercussions and fall outs and consequences, etc. There has to! I definitely think the start of S4 will determine my feelings towards the show and the finale, but it's a long wait til then... for now, I continue to applaud the writers (specifically BH and Ashley Gable) for a finale that fucked everyone's minds!
