There had better be fallout. There had better be. I feel like there will be, because honestly, otherwise what was the point of the S3 finale. I can sort of get behind Lisbon burying her head in the sand about Jane killing RJ, provided it was RJ. But if she ignores this... RJ's not dead. Jane's now effectively responsible for two deaths. I mean, okay, he just lead the second guy into getting himself killed, but Jane was puppet-master.
And yeah, that was why I thought that guy (whatever his name was, Leon from The American President) was a red herring. He was so obvious as the killer. But really, it was clear the suspense wasn't coming from that, but from the fact that you always still felt you were missing something.
I feel almost as jumbled as I did about the S3 finale. :P
ITA. If there is no fallout, there was no point. Lisbon can't ignore this. There is no way around it. She may never know/realize he led a man to be killed this ep, but she can't deny that he killed someone else in cold blood. She could sort of justify it before, because he'd made his intentions clear and he was put through the law, etc. etc. But now all that is irrelevant. SHE HAS TO FEEL SOMETHING.
And he can't even pretend that he hasn't known for months that he killed the wrong guy. Because he told her RJ was alive, she just chose to ignore her (I assume for her own sanity). So, although he could still argue that he *thought* he killed RJ at the time, she still has to have feelings. And he did lead another serial killer to his death. IDEK.
*sigh* I guess we'll just have to trust that TPTB know what they're doing. Which I'm starting to think they do. Or at least feeling better about it after this ep. IDK. We shall see...
I had a feeling that when Jane brought up RJ, he was seriously leading the guy to his own slaughter. Jane knew he was a serial killer, and knew that serial killers would be outdone by their own hubris. In a way, Jane was basically saying that "If you won't admit you're a serial killer, I'll just let your pride kill you instead."
He has now forced the cards, and RJ is back in the picture. I'm not surprised, considering that this is the beginning of sweeps week....
I just can't believe that he did that, assuming he did it intentionally (which is obviously not a far stretch). Well, I can believe it, but I don't want to? Or I also can't at the same time? IDEK.
I don't think I have the brain capacity to reply to all of your comments, but no, that was not me who posted that on Twitter. I am actually very conscious of Tweeting episode spoilers, because I know there are a few Tweeps from the UK who follow me, and I don't want to ruin anything for them. So the only thing I ever post on Twitter about TM is a general episode reaction, never anything specific or spoiler-y. :)
Panzer as the killer was very obvious, but like I said before, I think that's because the intensity of the episode was more about what was going to happen to him rather than who he turned out to be.
I also thought he might've been associated with RJ (ITA about their similar looks), but like you said, the timelines didn't match up.
The ending gave me chills. I still don't know how I feel about it, but based on a few things I've read on Twitter, I'm now convinced Jane got Panzer killed on purpose. :3

I still don't even know. I'm just rambling now.
