The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly...mosthxcusernameOctober 1 2007, 03:36:20 UTC
The Ugly: I couldn't sit through Yardcall's stuff. The rap/hiphop/crunk/hyphy that I actually like is few and far between, and even that which is considered classic by learned hiphop aficionados is a guilty pleasure to me at best. The rap I like is either old (pre-1995, stuff as varied as The Digital Underground to Public Enemy and N.W.A.) or unappreciated at-large by the media (like Jurassic 5 or Del Tha Funkee Homosapien/Deltron 3030). Yardcall's stuff is, um... none of the above. I consider it mediocre at best. Don't take honesty for 'hating', as I respect that he's doing what he enjoys, and any musical expression takes skill, dedication, and effort. Playing bass has taught me that much. And I'm not disrespecting him as a person. I only talked to him for all of, what, ten minutes? Seemed like a grounded, down-to-earth guy, and that's cool enough in my book. But his art? While not lost on me by any stretch, I'm simply not a fan. I'm sorry, but better to be honest

Do you know what a sockpuppet is? This member of cuttingimage does, and I've alerted the mods. I wasn't around when you were banned, but I feel certain they had good reasons.
