Bugs, and insects
Yesterday I killed one of these in my bedroom. Now that I read that it captures spiders- espeicially black widows, I wish I hadn't killed it. It's a solitary wasp, and only produces a small amount of eggs in it's lifetime. So somewhere out there, there's an unfinished mud nest that won't be completed. Rod has his surgery yesterday, I think it went well, although we didn't see the dr afterwards. His time in the recovery room was very short, which is always a good sign. he was really alert and talked some afterwards. He'll be in at least until Monday. The physio person on Thursday said he was doing really well when they made him walk. I don't know ( Read more... ) -
Update
Rod's doing better today. He was coherent when he was awake and he can walk around a bit. He's going in for surgery sometime tomorrow for his shoulder, after that they think he'll be kept only for a couple days. We're hopfully going to be seeing the Halo nurse tomorrow and she can train us on how to take care of him. It;s a miracle that he's alive ( Read more... ) -
Rod's in the hospital
Rod was in a car accidnet on Monday.
He's not in critcal condition, and seems to be doing a lot better. He's
not paralyzed, but his neck is broken. Yesterday he got put in a halo, so
that means it's not bad enough to require spinal surgery, and it should
heal after 3 months. He's also got a broken shoulder socket, and will

crazy morning
Ok, so the apparently messy neighbours moved out and so thier mouse roomate no longer had food. I guess he was desperate because he managed to get into my cutlery drawer from under the sink and tried to eat the plastic handle of my vegetable peeler.
