Take the Bad with the Good

I was just wondering...This is the most frequently heard phrase at any sort of sci-fi convention. I guess it's a way to stall against the nervousness of addressing a person you adore for no particularly sane reason, a way to sound conversational with someone you're meeting for the first time (although, not really at all), a way to prolong the ( Read more... )

I'm glad you had a good time. I always did hate the character of Wesley Crusher, but have recently been reading Wil's blog, and I think he's very interesting and articulate and a great writer. I found it intriguing to revisit my opinion of him after not watching any of the Star Trek shows for such a long time.

Who says that phrase--the people at the convention regarding the speakers or the convention speakers regarding the show they are on or something else entirely? The phrase being 'take the good with the bad.' :)

Heh. 'Convention etiquette.' That's funny. Did the handout have to do with what type of questions to AVOID asking the guests?

Awww. I always love reading your entries. I'm with you on the Wesley Crusher love, though. I was actually shocked to find out that a lot of people hated him. Plus, I have been watching TNG reruns on TNT.
