I have a new nephew. My sister was due on Christmas but she went into pre-eclampsia and her BP was high enough at her appointment on Monay they said, yeah, baby is coming today. So, he got here Monday evening. He is a little guy at just under 6 pounds, but what can you expect? Both of them are doing great now

I'm sorry to hear your mom got sick. And on a holiday, too. That's doubleplus ungood.

It IS somewhat amusing to hear someone say "no one else got sick and the first half of the trip was fun." That's...not totally glowing praise for that person's vacation. I am amused. Ha.

Good for you for cooking the whole dinner! That's a lot of work. Buy them a meat thermometer for Christmas.

And it sounds like you've got the donut thing in the bag. Easy peasy. This time Sunday (right?) it will be all over. :)

Oh! And congrats on your new nephew! What's his name, if I may ask? Preeclampsia is nothing to fool around with, so I'm glad the doctors took measures to ensure your sister's and the baby's safety.

His name is Joseph Robert. And thanks, Donuts with St. nick did go well. The only thing I forgot was to get more change and we ran out of small bills super early on, but it happened to be during a lull and we were able to get enough so there was no panic or chaos.
