Now What?

So I'm now a university graduate. Go me.

Feels rather anticlimactic, honestly, and that's not just because of my lackluster punctuation.  I've now reached the stage of my life where I'm expected to make something of the massive potential that's been bubbling out of me since day one.  Unfortunately, I have no idea what.  It seems that B.A.'s in ( Read more... )

Have you thought about Education as a possible career move? With the baby boomers getting ready to, or already retired, good time to get in.

Thought about it, but I fear I may not have the patience for such a career path, but who knows? I may suddenly realize that being a teacher was a calling all along. It would certainly stop all the questions of "So what are you going to do with an English degree? Teach?" Although from what it sounds like, it's mainly math and science teachers which are in sharp decline.

If you can speak and write French, big demand for teachers with that language under their belt up here in Canada. If you thought back east could be cold, wait till you try Canada!

People ask me that exactly the same way. I guess that's the only thing an English degree is good for, right? Bleah. You know, there is a high demand for tech writers in this area.
