Hey, Ami-chan! Guess what? I figured out that this thing can work between different worlds, isn't that awesome?

Don't call me by that!

Anyway, I guess this is just safer for you.

[There's a moment of silence before she speaks again, her voice shaky.]

We- We lost Venus-chan.

(ooc: She's using communicator earrings but their signal can be received by any device that gets wavelengths even a radio, so you choose how Mercury gets the message. She also seems to be with someone so don't mind her babbling too much.)

Uh, like this? Hello? Is Mercury there?

Or a Mercury at least... I hope I'm not getting through to Kunzite... I don't really want to get through to any of them actually.

It's not funny!

Mercury? Can you hear me? If you're not too busy, please, at least tell me if this is working. You're not angry at me because Kunzite-san didn't let you see Mercury's garden, right?

If you didn't want to reach me, why contact me?

Who's with you?

Mercury! I wanted to reach you, you're the first person I wanted to try to contact with this, why else would I be contacting you?

I just didn't want to end getting the wrong number or something...

Mercury is with me, the future Mercury of my world. The senshi woke up! I wanted to tell you about that

[Have a letter appearing besides you, Mercury. If your communicator device can register calls and such in some way probably it won't be hard to find out who send it.]

Mizuno-san, how are you? I'm writing these lines as I wait for the signal for the attack to our enemies is given. Probably this is me being reckless again, but right now I think it's the only moment I can dare to tell you this so I'll give in to this impulse.

Lately, every time we have met, I have been unable to say anything to make you stay a bit more with me. And you have kept repeating that we aren't friends. I've been thinking and I realize that you're right. We can't be friends, we will never be friends and I don't want to be your friend.

Because to me you aren't a friend. Neither an ally. You're someone precious to me. Friendship wouldn't do any justice to the way I look at you, and even if I know it's not mutual it's how things are. And it's not going to change, if anything it can only get bigger until even precious isn't enough to describe it ( ... )

[Her heart sinks - and it shouldn't! it shouldn't! - at that beginning. But Mercury forces herself to read on, to take in every word that will hurt her and become fuel for her hate.

What she finds instead is so opposite, so unexpected, that it's a long time before she replies anything at all. She struggles with something nameless, something that won't even let her speak, and she's grateful that they're not face to face, that she has the time to compose herself.

She's not really stupid enough to believe it... Is she?]

Good luck in your battle.

[In writing, it's impossible to tell whether it's dismissive sarcasm, or relenting.]

[The signal was given close after she sent the letter. Because of that and her own doubts she didn't expect to get any kind of reply from Mercury, but as she enters the enemy base together with the others, keeping contact with their earrings and following her Ami's instructions, she can't miss the reply showing up in the small screen in front of her right eye.

And she knows who it is even before she looks at who the sender is actually. She can't afford to stop and give a text reply of any sort, and she still isn't sure if Mercury wants to even talk to her. A part of her feels she is probably angry with her because of the letter, because if she doesn't want to be friends that Usagi considers her precious is worse, right? At any rate, Mercury will hear Usagi's voice, a bit breathless but happy, her smile basically carries over in her tone.]

Thank you.

[She was confident already in that they wouldn't lose... But now... Now she really feels like she can win against anything and everything. Even if it was dismissive sarcasm or honest, ( ... )

Do I cause you problems? Do I hurt you?

[Strange way to start, isn't it? But she wants to be direct.]

[She keeps the voice setting on her part. She wants Mercury to hear her.]

Everything. Do I cause you problems? Hurt you?

I don't have any intention of letting you hurt me.
