You'll be back here soon enough -- too soon. You need to enjoy your time there while you have it. Please don't feel guilty for leaving people behind. It's no way to live. We'll miss you, but it's worth it. We'd all rather you go, given the chance to go.
I just got back on campus -- so I'm actually (sort of) in the area for once! Super good luck getting there. Be safe. Be vigilant. But don't be nervous.
I'll be waiting to hear from you, but I know it'll be fine. After all, you're leaving on my grandmother's birthday, so it must be auspicious (only I would use that word in an LJ comment).

Not that this helps me any...but oh wells.
I will have a good time, I just reserve my right to occasionally freak out at my lj...thus why I separated lj and travel blog.
