So I booked a room for wincon last night, OMG YAY EXCITING. :D We're going to stay at the hotel Thursday through Sunday nights and at my parents' house (yes XD) for the bookend nights, with options for hanging out with whoever's around on Monday if they aren't sick of us. :P YAY WINCON ( Read more... )

I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 and I LOVELOVE it. The screen is so crisp and bright AND fantastically large. Runs very smoothly, and I've yet to discover any bugs or issues with it (I've had it since December of last year.) Also, I've found Tmobile to have the best coverage (for my area) and the service fees are pretty damn good. That's actually why I got the phone; I heard less than stellar things about Verizon and AT&T in regards to pricing and coverage, but they're the only ones with the iPhone, which I wanted. Went to Tmobile and they were like, "trust us, you won't want the iPhone after having this one."

I've got a HTC Incredible S, and before that I had a HTC Aria (which my mum is now using). I think HTC's are awesome. Really simple to use, really strong (I've dropped mine a few times) and honestly, it can do a lot of things the iPhone can't. I remember watching a youtube vid about jailbreaking iPhones so you can do more with them, and most of the stuff you could get my phone already did.

I have a Samsung Stratosphere, which I got because I wanted an android with a physical keyboard, and the options were super limited. I love my phone! It's easy to use, the keyboard (and swype, which I also love) works great, the 4G is really nice (I can definitely tell the difference between this phone and my 3G blackberry), and it's super durable. I dropped it in the parking lot today, and the back came off and the battery fell out, but I just put the battery back in, and everything was fine. Not even a scratch!

I have Verizon, because I'm on my parents' family plan, but I actually like Verizon quite well. I was on T-Mobile for years, and the coverage with Verizon is way better, IMO. Plan cost is pretty comparable to T-Mobile. I wouldn't recommend AT&T, since their plans are more expensive, especially for texting. Or at least they were when I was looking back in the day.

Whatever phone you get, you should see if you can get a screen protector for it, to keep the screen from getting scratched. I highly recommend Zagg! I've ( ... )

I love my iPhone a BUNCH. I'm not going to lie, though. Typing on it is not a walk in the park. If you value the ability to type more than a couple of sentences, you probably want something with a physical keyboard. On the other hand, at least at the time I bought mine, iPhone's battery life was significantly better than any of the Android options. I don't know if that's still true.

ALSO HAI! WINCON!!! <3
