She'd be directed to the throne room where Rameses was just finishing with a delegation from some foreign land seeking to open trade routes with Egypt. He always had such a serious, no nonsense expression on his face while he acted as pharaoh, she knowing that it was due to wanting to live up to his father's expectations.
When Aqua was directed to the throne room she made sure her steps were light. The last thing she wanted to do was interrupt him during an important meeting. He was pharaoh and had other duties to attend to than be bothered by her. So until his meeting was over she'd wait outside, trying to ignore the nausea that was creeping back up.
As he dismissed his final guests, the doors opened for them to leave, the group bowing to her out of respect as they pass. At his throne, Rameses sees her there and smiles, rising to his feet and proclaiming that he has finished with his royal duties for the day.
That done, he descends from the throne and makes his way to her.
Aqua bowed her head at the guests, acknowledging them and their bows as they left. She continued to watch from the sidelines until her husband stood up to proclaim he was done with his duties for the day. Now he was coming towards her with a smile that always reassured her, but it only made more nervous.
She gave him a queen smile and once he was close enough she kissed him on his cheek.
"Did everything run smoothly today?" she asked, thinking with some small talk she could slowly steer the conversation towards her big news.
