I'd recommend stocking up on warm clothes down in the Underground, along with umbrellas and a poncho or two.

Also, catch a Vulpix or a Growlithe on your way here, if you can find one. It'll make the trip a lot easier. ... unless you already have a fire type, in which case ignore that.

Actually, there are a lot down there! The selection is even better than the department store, if you know how to look for what you want. A lot cheaper, too.

If you don't have a pokémon to ride, it would probably be useful to get a bike. They're pretty reasonable, but be careful in icy areas.
