XDD yay! Devin's accent is so weird to write; most of the time I'll feel as though trying to write it detracts from the rest of the story, but Dev's, I'll try for. X3 I am glad to know it's coming off all right! :D

Kind of like how here, going to school is a given; it's just something you automatically do? That's what the training academy is for men. As soon as you pass out of normal schooling, you enter the academy, even if you plan to do something else or don't want to go up; it's like a duty, almost. Bre wants to invent things, he wants to work on making things and couldn't care less about fighting, but he still goes to the academy. XD This is actually a good thing! :3 I mean for Dev to come off that way, actually. He's got a fairly good reason for hating the council once you get right down to it, but since even canonly, the only people who know about it (outside of the council and Dev, lol) are his parents. Dev worries (well, he claims that worrying is wrong, but he worries) that if anyone knew about it, he'd be ostracized. So he pulls an attitude problem and makes people ostracize them all on his own~! Woooo. SO YEAH. XD Good reason when you get to it, but since it's not widespread in-canon, I'm wont to keep it secret for a little while longer before anyone knows the truth. :3;;

XDD Why don't you like reading stuff with him? :P I would probably never post anything here that I considered to be too dirty for your eyes (lol, I say that like I write a ton of it XDDD), and even if I eventually did post stuff like that over here, it would be clearly labeled and warned. XD

BUT YES, Dev is the bratty kid that likes Bre. XD
