Since I've posted the entire thing now, let me see if I can explain a little bit better! :3 Basically, Nereus is to Asuka just like Avana is to Kaz--since they're both Summoners (...lol), they both have one of the Creators' spirits within/around/shadowing them somehow. In the beginning, the "kick" that Kaz felt was caused by Avana's shock to the opening statement--it caused her to "jolt," if that makes any sense XD; Nereus had the same reaction as Avana, but with a lot more force behind it. That basically knocked Asuka entirely out of commission for the entire first part--so in spite of everyone referring to him as Asuka, the entire first part is Nereus-masquerading-as-Asuka, just like Avana masquerades as Kaz. XDD Asuka... actually played an incredibly small role in this drabble, since he himself was only mentioned in passing the one time ( ... )
