Well it was bound to happen.

The weather has done it. 5 months of no real asthma problems has been shattered yesterday. Thanks to the shitty air that this heat wave has brought on, I woke up the other day with huge breathing problems. Of course, these are odd circumstances. Being the 3rd heat wave this summer ( Read more... )

SD400 is a cool cam man.
I have the SD200 and it is solid for a small, carry anywhere, point and shoot.

As for the heat and summer - you may want to consider moving to Vancouver in the near future - the air is that much cleaner and no humidity or really bad heat.

Not trying to convert him.. just making him aware of the alternative that would, to be honest with you, be better for his asthma :)

This summer has been, so far, unbearably gross so I can understand that this is/may not be the case every year - but with the "yadda yadda yadda" of global warming and such I can see this being more often the "norm" than the exception.

As for the sand - didn't see any in Victoria - was too rainy.
Did see some in Vancouver but I was without carrying item to stuff it into. :(

I did however snag you something BC-esque that is small yet cutsie and you should either thing "Ghawd !! cheesey!!" or "Ghawd !! cutsie!!"

This isn't hot in my day you could fry an egg on the sidewalk and have ice melt just taking it out of the freezer. Just kidding of course. I definately want this crap to end too because I'm having trouble walking from place to place and of course my apartment's "air conditioning" is udder crap. I haven't had time yet but I'm in the process of looking through the thumbnails to see if there are any hidden photos.

is there not a hydro budget plan that can be utilized in TO? in Oshawa the PUC had one... where you pay $100 for 12 months and then apply more or less to the last bill when it's averaged out... and adjust for the next year's monthly guesstimate payment. When I was in the 'shwa I paid 40$ a month running the central air daily in the summer... and I ended up with a credit at the end of 12 months and a readjustment to 30$ a month for the next year. I assume that TO has something similar... and worth looking into to avoid ass rapage sans lube, non?

P.S. Chat IDs changed, as per a recent post, feel free to add me at your leisure... the former ID is not viable anymore.

Ugh.

I am so with you on the heat.

We had more days above 90 degrees (many with heat indeces above 100) than below during the past seven weeks. The high temperatures were above 85 degrees for all but about four days during that time. (It also rained for ten minutes during the entire month of June.)

Being asthmatic and allergic to the sun, I have been miserable.

Thank goodness for that hurricane - it blew its way up to Indiana and gave us some glorious rain and *gasp* 80-degree temperatures!

I've noticed walkikng through a local ravine lately that the plantlife is suffering. Grass is brown around here, and trees that should be leafy green are turning brown.

Bad, bad summer.
