we try to talk about feelings here - so Kayla can experience them and have them, but still behave in a way that doesn't drive everyone around her crazy.
We also say she can express herself anyway she likes in her room behind a closed door - so if she really wants to let loose, or be the whiney suck we hate, she has a space to do it in.

Hmm. Good natured discipline. A rare commodity among people, and definitely something to be nurtured.
And after all, he already HAS felt the emotion, he's just urging himself to move on shortly thereafter. And he knows it can lead to destructive behavior if he doesn't curb it. Very rare insight for one so young.
