Why do people think you are an asshole if you won't let them continue to knowingly be wrong?

Because of pride? (They won't admit being wrong?)

Personally, I've given up on caring whether others are wrong. If I know how things really are, I'll tell them, but if they persist in believing what they think, that's fine by me.
