Ahhhhh, that's a good question! They're everywhere these days, aren't they? Almost like they've got a hand in everybody's pocket, but aren't letting anyone's in theirs.

But, there must be answers! Speech is free, after all - though "free speech" is just an idiom, anyway, because even when it's free-flowing speech will always be fenced in by the tone of the culture. And in a fear-based culture... ahahaha well, I'm sure you can imagine how free the speech gets there...

Fear-based culture? Is there more to the secrecy and dodginess than just suspicious politics? I have to admit I know very little about the culture of this place

Those strange plants are all over the house I rent a space at, and the sting from one of the thorns is none to pleasant. The vines keep breaking my test tubes so I got out of the house but people keep following me. They think I don't notice but oh I do. I am a trained CSI, I know when I'm being stalked

Yes. They are keeping my ship captive, those blasted flowers and there vines. At least they try to. The Dutchman isn't easily held, if she don't want to...

What stalks you? Maybe it is the same ones stalking me... or friends of the same, who knows?

I haven't seen their faces, they keep cleverly disguising themselves. I can feel the eyes on me all the time though. I've walled myself up in a lab at a school in my area. I'm doing my best to identify these plants with my limited resources.
