In a world where comic book evil runs amok, zombies crave trout, tentacle monsters attack office temps, southern talk show hosts hunt beings from outer space, and most people are unaware of the craziness hiding around every corner, someone needs to man the middleground--to keep innocent and unsuspecting human beings innocent and unsuspecting, to fight evil with big guns, and to boldly go where several men have gone before. This man is unsurprisingly called The Middleman, and he works for O.2.S.T.K. (Organization Too Secret To Know) as a solver of "exotic problems

"Thank you for calling A.N.D. Laboratories, rescrambling your DNA, how may I direct your call?"Well, it was boring. At least, until a giant tentacle monster appeared out of nowhere and tried kill her. No worries, though. Wendy didn't even flinch. In the face of weirdness, she grabbed a letter opener and took a stab at the Lovecraftian horror show trying to end her life. Lucky for Wendy, before the monster can recover, The Middleman appears out of nowhere, finishes the monster off, commends Wendy on her outstanding display of moxie, warns her that he will have to kill her if she ever tells anyone of her encounter with the paranormal, and disappears back to wherever he came from

Personality:
At first glance, Wendy Watson seems like your average twenty-something woman. She's passionate about her work--both as an artist and as an "exotic problem" solving office temp. Her hobbies include: painting, going to art crawl, bailing her confrontational spoken-word artist roommate out of jail (Lacey has a habit of protesting in the nude-it makes a statement!), having lyric battles with her too chill friend/musician/ventriloquist, watching zombie movies, and playing enough violent video games to give her the hand-eye coordination of a well-trained Jedi Master. Wendy's weapons of choice are a gun and an X-box controller. Those weapons, and her ability to accept any weird situation then deal with it accordingly, are what allow Wendy to solve "exotic problems" by the Middleman's side. She can pilot a jet because it's "in her blood," and she's incredibly good at the most ridiculous yet effective form of martial arts in existence (a luchador taught her in under two minutes).
