Not ridiculous. The deep shadows and the cool tone give it a mysterious air... I don't think there's any /mystery/ in the image (even the shadows don't really hide anything) but there's certainly a suitable /feel/. Or at least, I see it that way. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

ahhhh. i think you just made me go insane! (it doesn't take much). i believe i prefer the first. i 'think' i like the green better than the yellow (perhaps just a personal preference?). and i think the 'intensity' of the colors is more equal. some might prefer the more intense yellow to somehow add 'variety' to the color balance and contrast. but... not... me...

I personally prefer the first one over the second. It is more calming to the eyes, to me. The second one is loud, if that is what you are trying to achieve.
