Losing a best friend

Things aren't looking well for Jim...
His family pulled rank on his girlfriend of 7 years and they won't let anyone back to see him. He's in a coma and is on 5 times the normal dose of morphine. He is also jaundiced, and they put sandbags on his chest so he wouldn't have to breathe as hard.

I hope the family pulled rank with Jim's best wishes in mind, and for no petty reason. It seems unfair to lock Sue out of this, but then, I don't know the story. I don't need to know the story, really; I am just sending out the prayer/hope that everyone involved is answering to the greater need, and not their own. Jim needs everyone who loves him there now.

I shall keep holding out for a happier ending; I always do. Hugs to you again, and again, and again...
