Disney's "The Wild" trailer draws unfavorable comments

Rumor is they're very close to reworking a deal with Pixar, and it would be largely dependent on how successful "Chicken Little" is (my prediction: it'll make money, but nowhere near as much as Pixar's films tend to).

However, their outsourced CG features ("Valiant" and apparently this one too) aren't doing so hot. Valiant flopped pretty miserably and this one's already off to a bad start, so I'm thinking that Pixar deal will come sooner rather than later.

If Pixar wants to play ball, that is. They could probably tell Disney to shove it and make just as much if not more money. They're already just about as well known. And just how many successful movies has Disney made recently that didn't have Pixar's name on it?

Off the top of my head...pretty much Pirates of the Caribbean. Lilo and Stitch didn't do too badly but I guess it depends on how recent we're talking, here.

And you're right, Pixar could go on their own, but Disney gave them a distribution outlet so they could worry less about promotion and more about the movies.
