Should probably be writing political science paper, but come on, I've got almost four hours left in my shift to do that. And I just got done folding a bunch of papers and stuffing a bunch of damn envelopes. I needs me some decompression.

I'll skip that "fangirl" crack. Anyway, I prefered Prisoner not because of Sirius' prominence, but because he provided Harry his first real (brief) glimmer of hope. I thought that after two books of watching his summer life suck, Rowling really captured this escape for him, and seeing it broken due to political circumstance was heartbreaking. Goblet was great, especially with the criss-crossing plotlines with the real-and-fake Mad-Eye Moody and Cedric's untimely demise, it just didn't have that same kind of emotional connection for me.

Besides, if I'm a fanboy of any PoA character that made me love the book, it's Lupin. He's like Sirius, only mature.

I'll grant you those, but I prefer Goblet because it was just good, epic storytelling, and the last 100 pages or so of the book grabbed me by the throat and wouldn't let go. I seriously sat there after Cedric died, numbly turning the pages and waiting to see if things would get worse. (They did, of course).

And I respect your opinions on PoA because I think they're rational and understandable. I just happen to think that a lot of people like PoA not for those reasons, but for Sirius.

S'my opinion.
