I know I might have given you the impression that I fancy your boyfriend, but listen, that guy is crazy about you! I won't lie to you, Cath, I have had a hard time understanding the relationship between you and Marcus, what with the age gap and apparent polar opposition in personality, but I have come to the conclusion that anyone he loves must be pretty worthwhile, and I would really love to be your friend.

For all my "putting it about", I am actually a very genuine person and the most loyal friend you could have, and that's the truth. I don't blame you for not trusting me but what have you got to lose!

AND the good news is, I have found myself an internet boyfriend JUST THIS WEEK who actually reciprocates, for once in my paltry life, so I will no more even joke about attempting to steal your man.
