Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars

May 09, 2006 22:20

Gilmore Girls: No surprises here really. I've really HATED what Amy and Dan have done to GG the last couple of years. Don't let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out you two.

Veronica Mars: WHOA.

Really? I felt a bit off with Gilmore Girls, not never entirely hated it with a white hot passion that I've hated changes in other shows... *ahem*... I'm glad something happened 'cause the girls were getting near unrecognizable in their passiveness. Is that even a word? Not sure how much better next season can be, but will wait and see I guess.

As for VM, didn't see it, waiting to DL it tomorrow while Lost is on.

I mean, if the girls are unrecognizable? That loses the show entirely for me. And they've been opposite from what I perceived their characters to be for 4 years.

I don't know Amy and Dan's master plan. But this show used to be a dramedy, not my weekly does of depression.

I think you will like the finale of VM. But then again, I know you haven't been a big fan this year.

LOST. I haven't seen that one since before Xmas.

Well, I chalked up the unrecognizable the same way I chalk up the change in Doctor #9 and #10... people change. Sometimes it's not a healthy change, and I don't think it is with either of the girls, but it's a path. And it's a legitimate path they have to travel if their writer wants to take them there.

I had marathon of VM the last two wekends and am all caught up. I'm glad I did it that way, each seperately was just not holding my attention.

As for Lost, it's finally getting a bit more interesting and less rambly.

I get the whole...sometimes people change thing. But this isn't my best friend's family. It's a TV show! I liked the way it used to be! :)

YAY good on ya with the marathon! I told ya the baby thing had pretty much been dropped though. Eh?

I sort of plan on doing the marathon thing with Lost when it comes out on DVD. Glad to hear it improved though.

i don't want to jump in mid convo here...

but GG...whatever happened to having something almost recognizable about the two. They were a pack, a team, the daring duo that i loved to tune in and watch. Even through the "dean years" and the upsets of teen life...i never got bored of their town events, movie nights and their good old charm of having some wit and dinamic with each other. Way depressing as of late!

OK, *deep breath* i was sooooo peeved with how the season ended...and where they left off with Lorelai.

As to VM...Whoa is right! I missed out on S1 until my entire last weekend was filled with S1!(wav, i left u a question on the other posting, but you can answer here as well.) WHO showed up at her door??? Don't leave me hanging. I've only seen three S2 episodes, counting this week. I'm not going to be able to hold out until S2 comes out on DVD...i'm just going to have to bust down the doors of another VHS taping fan around here! :)

Yep. That's exactly the way I feel about GG as of late. 100%

The season ender can be looked at two ways. Lorelai said that she had never loved anyone until Luke. But the relationship she has with Christopher. I don't think she knows what that relationship is. She loved the way Luke loved her, and treated her. But Chris? They just seem to click with each other. *shrugs* That's a hard one to call. I do know that when Lorelai looks upset, it digs a hole through my SOUL!!! She makes me want to cry too.

VM s2 premiere. Front door. Hmmm. I can't remember!

Just kidding. It was Logan. Beaten to a bloody pulp. :)

I knew it! 3bluetears May 11 2006, 09:17:39 UTC
Well, i suppose i can wait until August 22 for the S2 DVD set!

I knew it was Logan! It's like a soap or something, but a good one with good acting :)

I was having such a hard time watching S1 because i knew some things from watching the last few eppie's of S2...i wanted to scream at the TV...i know who killed Lilly!

Ok, i don't care about spoilers so for me it's almost maddening to want to know about Weevil....Please tell me they won't write him off the show. I loved his almost sister kind of love for Veronica throught what i've seen. He's a great character, IMHO. I so hope they are not planning to write him off the show by jail time or whatever. I don't mind all that killing off of the parents and low life drug dealer character, but weevil...come on!

I have no idea about Weevil. I really don't. But I can't have you talking about Veronica's Dad like that. I almost died of heart failure. I would have stopped watching the show if her Dad was gone!

They dynamic between Veronica and her Dad is the best relationship on the show IMHO. And I would be devastated.

But They keep a pretty close lid on spoilers for VM. I don't even know if the new network has picked it up yet or not. They are supposed to decide next week. But I think we got a huge clue at the end of the finale. So it looks good for getting picke up again.
